Sea Trial |
The Sea Trial is becoming a commonly requested service that has additional fees and requirements to conduct. A vessel operator is required in addition to the surveyor. Engine mechanics are often aboard to assess the operational condition of power sources, sometimes including generators. The surveyor inspects the operational condition of the engine(s) components at various speeds and engine(s) loads as well as electronic equipment.
|
Rigging |
Rigging inspections have seen an increase in demand since we first began surveying vessels. We request that the mast and rigging are removed from the vessel in an accessible manner (commonly on a low rack or saw horses). We inspect rigging using telephoto camera images inspected on a computer screen.
|
Structural |
Discounted survey of just structural areas of the vessel including decks, hull topsides and bottom. Internal structural elements are also inspected, but all other systems aboard are not inspected to provide an affordable alternative for older vessels with owners required to provide proof of structural integrity for marinas to haul and store the vessel.
|
Thermal Imaging |
This is a specialized service for specific issues often reguarding structural concerns, including cracks, moisture sources at specific locations, never bonds or delamination. This is common for specific insurance claims, or pre-repair to define areas of concern.
|
Consultation / Production & Repair Inspections |
Specialized inspections for specific questions of vessel use or during the building/repair process at areas of correction or concern.
